Tangier to Chefchaouen

Meet the team at the agreed point in Tangier and head towards Chefchaouen. Arrival arrangements should take account of your flight or ferry schedule. After checking in, explore the blue streets on foot if time allows. Some lanes are stepped, so choose shoes you can walk in comfortably.

Time in Chefchaouen

Spend a full day in Chefchaouen with no long transfer. Walk through the medina, pause for lunch and leave room for the streets away from the busiest photo spots. Ask before photographing residents or entering private spaces. This extra night is useful if you prefer a gentler start to the trip.

Chefchaouen to Fes

After Chefchaouen, the journey continues towards Fes. Settle into your accommodation on arrival and keep the evening for dinner nearby. If you want to add a detour on the way, raise it while planning so that the day still leaves time to rest before tomorrow’s medina visit.

Explore Fes

Spend the day on foot in the Fes medina. Plan a walk that connects the areas you most want to see, with a break for lunch and time to look around. A local guide can help with the route; we will discuss guiding, entrance fees and walking distances while planning. Part of the afternoon can stay free for a café or your riad.

A quieter day in Fes

Use an extra day in Fes to reduce the pace. You can revisit a neighbourhood, spend more time with crafts or simply rest at your accommodation. Discuss any excursion outside the city in advance, including its driving time and entrance fees. This day can also be moved elsewhere in the route if your priorities change.

Fes, the Middle Atlas and Merzouga

The journey south crosses the Middle Atlas, then continues through the Ziz Valley towards Merzouga. Keep a small bag with what you need during the drive. The departure time and the stops shape your arrival in the desert; the camp stay and any activities will be set out in your quote.

A day around the Erg Chebbi dunes

You stay around Merzouga today, with time for the dunes and a break at your accommodation. Khamlia or Rissani can be part of the day if they interest you. We agree the local visits and activities beforehand, according to availability and conditions. There is no long transfer to another city.

Merzouga, Todra Gorge and Dades

Leave the dunes and travel towards the Todra Gorge and Dades Valley. There is room for a short walk and a lunch break along the route. Tell your driver if you prefer more time on foot or fewer stops. Spend the night in the valley before the mountain crossing to Marrakech.

Dades, Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech

Travel through the Ouarzazate area and stop at Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the High Atlas to Marrakech. The route combines village paths and several hours on the road. A practical start leaves space for breaks without hurrying the final part of the day. Finish at the drop-off point agreed with the team.

Time in Marrakech

Walk from the Koutoubia gardens towards the medina and the souks. The day leaves time to browse, stop for lunch and explore the streets between the main sights. If you have particular monuments in mind, tell us while planning so we can check tickets and visiting times.

Marrakech to Essaouira

Travel west towards Essaouira and settle in near the coast. After the transfer, take an easy walk in the medina or along the waterfront. The coastal part of the trip gives you a different rhythm after inland driving. Keep an extra layer handy when walking near the sea.

A day in Essaouira

There is no long drive today. Walk through Essaouira’s medina, browse the small shops and spend time by the waterfront. Leave a proper break for lunch. Any organised activity can be arranged in advance, with the final programme showing what is booked and what remains free time.

Essaouira to Marrakech

Return to Marrakech with a departure time that fits your next plans. A final overnight stay in the city is useful before an early flight. If you prefer a direct airport drop-off, confirm the timing with the team before booking. Allow a comfortable margin instead of relying on the shortest estimated drive.

Departure from Marrakech

Keep the final day organised around your onward travel. Agree the pickup point and timing with the team after your flights are confirmed. If you have free time, choose something near your accommodation rather than a distant excursion. Check your room and luggage before leaving for the airport.
